So, you have decided to spend a day in one of the top visitor attractions in the UK thanks to its wealth of restaurants, history and so much more. Don’t worry if you have no idea what to do or where to start. We have listed some of our recommendations and to top it all most of the things to do or see are free, and everybody loves a freebie!

There are numerous museums located on the waterfront, each with their own unique qualities. If you already know what you are interested in, just delve into one of these incredible museums. On the other hand, you can just visit them all if you have the time of course.

  1. You cannot talk about Liverpool and not slip Beatles in the same conversation. Known as the Fab Four, they helped put Liverpool on the map globally. The Beatles are credited with changing the face of music and to date they are one of the best-selling music artists of all time. In addition, Liverpool holds the Guinness World Record for being the capital of pop.

 

  1. Mann Island is situated on grounds that have been designated as World Heritage site, we are talking about Liverpool’s Waterfront (Maritime Mercantile City). This was granted by UNESCO in 2004, the organisation aims to preserve the world’s cultural and natural heritage. The site stretches from where we are at Albert Docks through to the following places; Pier Head and Stanley Dock, through historic commercial districts and the Rope Walks to St George’s Quarter. Other World Heritage Sites include The Taj Mahal, Vatican City and Victoria Falls, just to name a few.
